Little Support for Ohio Gov. Kasich's Reelection

For the first time since his inauguration in 2011, Ohio Governor John Kasich has a 42-35 percent job approval rating. A Quinnipiac poll conducted December 4-9 finds that among 1,165 registered voters, Kasich has finally been given a 'thumbs-up rating' and is benefitting from high levels of satisfaction among Ohio voters.

But, voters in the Buckeye State do not believe the governor deserves a second term. 43 percent believe Kasich does not deserve to be reelected. All voters say 44-37 perecent that another Republican should challenge the governor for the 2014 nomination. Read More
