Obama Ready To Counter Attack on ‘You didn’t build that’ attack

Washington Post - 07/20/2012

Obama has been using his Florida campaign to address the latest attacks from the Romney campaign where they use a snippet of an Obama campaign speech "you didn't build that". The GOP has jumped on this phrase to mock the President claiming that he prefers "Big Government" to Small Business". However when the phrase is viewed in the context of his speech, Obama's remarks claim that government helps the private sector by building infrastructure such as roads, bridges, railways, and an education system that business's need and rely on. Here is exact quota:

"Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen"

Obama clearly was referring to “You didn't build roads and bridges”. Obama plans to address this out-of-context attack and hit Romney's economic "trickle-down" policy as devastating for small business.
