Romney Continues with False Welfare Ads

Associated Press - 08/21/2012

Mitt Romney is continuing to run television ads stating Obama has cut the work requirement from welfare despite the fact that these statements are untrue. Obama has responded to the dishonest attacks when he met with the media in the White House Press Room. Numerous fact checkers and news organizations have confirmed that the attack ads are false, but Romney continues to push welfare as a campaign issue despite it not being a voter concern. Romney is now risking credibility amongst Independent voters by continuing to run ads that have been proven multiple times to be false and misleading. In fact the welfare reform does not get rid of the work requirement but allows states to decide how best to get welfare recipients back to work, a measure Romney worked to secure during his time as Governor.
