In a recent Bloomberg article, Josh Green asked a number of top executives what might be lurking in Mitt Romney's tax returns that he would rather not have the American people see. One theory is that due to the financial losses that top investors like Romney suffered after the 2008 financial collapse Romney may have paid zero income taxes for 2009. The media frenzy that would ensue if this hypothesis were correct, could be a possible reason for Romney to drag his feet on the issue of his tax releases.
