Warren and Brown Pact Holds

Boston Globe - 08/20/2012

Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren are running for Massachusetts Senate seat in one of the most watched races of the nation. These two fierce rivals however have managed to make a compromise on something and stick with it, no third-party advertisements. In January the two candidates agreed that any ad run by an outside group shouldn't influence the election, and if an ad through an outside group does manage to make the air waves the candidate would have to pay a penalty fee to charity. Brown has already made checks to the Autism Consortium due to outside advertising. This "people's pledge" as its being called has kept negative advertisements to a minimum and helped keep candidates accountable for what the public sees.
