America's highest ranking Catholic Cardinal Timothy Dolan will be giving the closing prayer ending the Republican National Convention in Tampa. Having the highest Catholic Cardinal close the ceremonies is a symbol of how important the Catholic vote has been throughout the primary as well as during the general election campaigns. Dolan has been upfront about his criticisms of Obama policies most specifically the requirement that women's preventive care and birth control will be covered through insurance. Now religious organizations are exempt from providing birth control to women.
