As the Republican party attempts to distance themselves from the "legitimate rape" comments made by Todd Akin, another Republican Senate candidate has stirred up the abortion debate yet again. Tom Smith the Republican candidate in the Pennsylvania Senate race made a statement yesterday that abortions should be banned with no exceptions, even in the case of rape or incest. Smith then continued stating that the situation of rape or incest is similar to "having a baby out of wedlock".
