Hopeful Signs for Obama in Ohio

The question on many minds is, will Ohio be a lost cause to Republicans this election? Even Karl Rove, the man attributed with securing Bush's reelection efforts in the state, has began suggesting ways to win without the Buckeye State.

Here are a few reasons why prospects are looking hopeful for Obama in Ohio:

  1. His demographic weakness has been overstated.
  2. The Baining of Romney truly is unsuited to Ohio.
  3. The state’s anti-anti-union backlash fired up Democrats and strengthened their grass-roots infrastructure.
  4. The Ohio economy is faring better than most.
  5. Kasich is not the best surrogate
  6. The auto bailout.
