Obama Calls Out Romney on Welfare Ads

Huffington Post - 08/20/2012

Obama made an unexpected appearance at the White House Briefing Room during the questions Obama answered several questions relating to the 2012 Presidential Election. First Obama addressed the issue of the controversial Pro-Obama Super-PAC ad, stating he "didn't believe Romney was responsible for her death". Obama had harsher sentiments concerning Romney's ads targeting welfare. Calling the claims that he is taking the work requirement out of welfare entirely false. He cited numerous papers and fact checkers who also state that these ads are false yet Romney continues to run them. Obama then went out to say the only change in welfare was in response to Republican Governors who wanted the states to decide on how to get their citizens back into the workforce, an idea that Romney backed while he was Governor of Massachusetts.
