A bill passed a bill Wednesday to help refinance the US postal system. The bill will allow for the postal system to offer early retirement options to thousands of postal workers, and will allow them to phase out Saturday delivers if they feel it is necessary. The Senate however did put strict measures on how and when the postal system could close facilities in rural areas.
