NPR - 11/01/2012

According to a report from the private Conference Board, October consumers were the most confident they have been since February 2008.

The Conference Board's widely watched consumer confidence index rose to 72.2 from 68.4 in September.  This improvement in mood is a key economic indicator since consumers purchase about 70 percent of all goods and services.
