A recent Gallup poll has revealed that Republicans are taking more notice this election cycle. According to the poll results 74% of Republicans are closely watching the election compared to 64% of Democrats. Even though this is a larger gap than usual between the two political parties some of the spread can be explained due to highly competitive Republican primary race.
