The president and the Democratic National Committee raised $114 million last month, versus Romney and the Republican National Committee's take of $111 million.

It was the first time in four months the Democrats had out-fundraised their opponents. Even so, as The Wall Street Journal points out, "pro-Romney super political action committees, which can collect unlimited checks, are swamping pro-Obama outside groups."
