Just 40% of Americans believe President Obama and House Republicans will reach a deal on the fiscal cliff by January 1. A Pew Research and Washington Post poll finds 49% of Americans continue to be pessimistic over prospects for a deficit agreement. The poll was conducted November 28-December 2 among 1,003 adults and finds that 53% of Americans say congressional Republicans would be more to blame for a failure to make a deal than 27% of Americans who believe President Obama will be blameworthy.  Read More
